New England Seafood International (NESI) was established in 1991 and is an importer and processor of premium fresh and frozen sustainable fish and seafood. NESI employs cirka 650 people across two sites in Chessington and Grimsby in the UK and imports a wide range of wild and farmed fish and shellfish from all around the world.

New England Seafood is split by customer segments in both Retail and Foodservice, as well as across multiple geographies. More recently, NESI have been focussed on building a business presence in Europe, taking successful models and species that work in the UK and adapting them for Switzerland, Germany, Denmark and other geographies.
New England Seafood Internationals business has grown significantly in the last 10 years, and they now see the need of building on the team with a European Commercial Manager. This role would be accountable for setting our a clear vision and strategy for continued growth in Europe. You will focus on costumer strategy, and have heavy influence on the wider teams impacting European strategy. The role will be a mix of commercial and general management role and have full P&L accountability for our European business. It will require a hands-on approach with customers, but also a strong leadership into the wider business in order to martial the correct resource and realize the huge potential in the European market.
NESI's European business is mainly focused on tuna into 'raw ready to eat' occasions at present. There is a scope for great growth into existing and new species, utilizing significant resource at the disposal for the wider group, through a strategic conduit of the European Commercial manager.
Main responsibilities

- Appraising the senior leadership team of opportunities and risks
- Operational problem solving and capex structuring solutions
- Management responsibility for two sales account managers
- Inspiring teams and customers around a common vision
- Building, sharing, training and embedding simple, pragmatic and effective processes
- Account management
- Negotiations
Qualifications and preferences
- 5 + years of account management or general management experience in and FMCG setting
- Higher degree - ideally science or business management discipline
- Key focus on operational and distribution knowledge and experience
- Strong communication skills
- Fluency in one of; German, Danish, Norwegian is an advantage
