Job description
Skretting believes in the fast-growing Recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) sector, and we are currently looking for a Project Manager that can contribute to development of our customer offering for this segment.
We’re seeking a person that understands recirculation systems and is comfortable working with big data and systems for data driven decision. Our new colleague will work closely with our RAS customers, our digital team, internal scientists, and our operating companies to solve challenges and explore opportunities associated with closed containment farming. You will be part of our Global Salmon Innovation Team and will have a central role in shaping Skretting’s feed portfolio and services. The position will report to Innovation Director Salmon and is located at Skretting head office in Stavanger, Norway.
What We Ask
- A key player in development of Skretting’s value proposition for products and services within the RAS segment
- Be the link between business needs and the digital development team in Skretting.
- Support Skretting’s operating companies when exploring and implementing RAS concepts around the world, and identify and address challenges and core requirements of our customers / our markets.
- You’ll be the project owner of beyond feed solutions within the RAS segment.
- Engage effectively with key stakeholders within the organization, making sure we are using the resources we need to drive our development further.
- Support and visit to customer sites, some international travel to be expected.
We are looking for a Project manager that can work strategically with a long-term time frame in mind, whilst balancing this with the short-term operational needs of our Operational companies. Your skillset should combine a structured approach to planning and direction-setting with creativity, problem-solving ability, and exceptional communication skills. You find it motivating to drive processes and dare to challenge when needed. We hope that you are innovative – and solution oriented, with a proactive and business focused approach. You should thrive in a hands-on role and have a passion for delivering tangible goals and results.
What You Bring
- MSc in fish biology, Aquaculture or other relevant higher university education, preferably with proven competence in recirculating aquaculture system
- You have experience from project management, and the ability to build a network of relationships with internal and external business partners and collaborate with geographically distributed teams.
- You have an interest in digging into the details of a new opportunity and turning it into a commercial reality by working with others.
- Digital capabilities and data handling experience, and comfortable working with the digital team to create value from big data.
- Capable to develop and deliver clear and effective technical presentations.
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
