Position Overview:
The Regional Seafood Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sales activities within the Eastern Division of the US. This role includes developing and implementing sales strategies, building and maintaining relationships with key clients, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail sales activities, in-depth knowledge of the seafood industry, and excellent leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve business objectives and sales targets.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare sales forecasts and budgets for the region.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including retailers, wholesalers, and distributors.
- Negotiate contracts and terms of sale.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Sales Operations:
- Oversee daily sales operations within the region.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Product Knowledge and Promotion:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of seafood products, including sourcing, quality, and sustainability practices.
- Develop and implement promotional activities and sales campaigns.
- Educate clients and sales teams about product features, benefits, and best practices.
- Market Expansion:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region.
- Expand the customer base and market reach.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to launch new products.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for senior management.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Develop action plans based on sales performance and market analysis.
- Supplier and Inventory Management:
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of high-quality seafood products.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to meet customer demand and minimize waste.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in regional sales management, preferably in the seafood or food industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong knowledge of seafood products, market dynamics, and industry trends.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and develop actionable strategies.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
